A brand, spanking, New Year has arrived.
Enno and I are ready to receive
it and his granddaughter,
Jody who arrives
today.
We're ready for a great six weeks with
the darling Dutch twenty-five year old. Yesterday we managed
to make a place for her to sleep in our one bedroom apartment. It will be cozy
but we'll manage. The Dutch are used to living in small places.
Just don't want to trip and fall over each other.
We moved the sofa out from the wall and pushed it into the room.
Jody will be sung in her little nook. We've also cleaned out some shelves
in the bathroom closets for her. I imagingshe will have a large
suitcase and we have a space for it, too.
We will met her tonight at DFW at 11:52. not the best planning but I imagine
there were a lot of people getting flights on new year's day
after the holidays.
We have some fun outtings planned for our granddaughter
but she wants some down time, too. She has
a six week vacation and needs time to rejuvenate especially
after spending this past week in New York City.
Today we're watching the Rose Parade and the Cotton Bowl,
which is held in Arlington, TX. It's a day of bowl games, a time to look ahead and
make plans for a better 2013.
