My Youngest

Francie is my youngest daughter, the one who is always waiting at the airport
for me when I arrive. Maybe it is because
she lives closest to the airport?
but I like to think she misses me so much she is thrilled to see me.
And Eric, her adorable husband, is usually with her.
What would I do without them?

Both Francie and Eric are busy with their jobs and two children.
Francie has a new one in Ft. Worth, now, and they may
be moving closer to where I live.
That would
great for getting together for dinners
and seeing the children.

That is what Enno and I seem
to do the most here,
go out to eat.
My good intentions of cooking
have fallen by the wayside. It is just so easy to
find a restaurant nearby. Americans are lazy when it comes to
cooking I am afraid. There are too many good choices. Maybe their priorities have changed
Hopefully, this week my energy will return.

Edie is coming tomorrow and I have to make a bed for her
in the studio. We have never really finished
organizing that room. Today
 it will get done.

Yesterday Enno bought wood carving tools at Home Depot
and is ready to begin his sculptures. He'll probably
do that while Edie and I
 catch up.
She is my dear sister I met in Arlington twenty years ago
and we've remained close friends though each of us have moved.
Edie is in my book, One Sunny Day, I made
last year wheabout out day in
 New York City.

Enjoy every minute with your precious family, and the US lifestyle, too.
Lovely mosaic.

Jenny - your daughters are stunningly beautiful -( they look so much like you!!). I know you treasure the times you get to spend with them when you are on this side of the world. It must be so hard to be away from them when you go back home--

I hope you are having a glorious winter!

What a beautiful family! Yes, I think many more Americans are going out for meals now than when I was younger.
